Common questions
Does Chanter Book need an account or an internet connection?
No. Everything you enter — tunes, sets, practice sessions, drill ratings and band days — stays on your device. There is no sign-in and the app works fully offline, including the illustrated movement guides.
Can I recover my practice log if I get a new phone?
Chanter Book stores your data locally rather than in an account, so it moves with your device backups. Restoring your phone from an iCloud or iTunes backup that includes Chanter Book will bring your tunes, sessions and progress back with it.
Why can't I add pipe drone audio or hear the tunes played?
Chanter Book is a practice journal, not a tune player. It is built around timing your own practice on the chanter or pipes, not around synthesised or recorded pipe audio.
How do I add a photo of a tune's setting?
Open a tune, then choose to photograph the score sheet or pick an existing photo. Only the single photo you choose is used — the app has no other access to your library.
